CANTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Get ready to tee off. Topgolf announced on Friday construction has begun on a new facility that will be opening in late 2023.
The new Topgolf location will be opening on the former Cumberland Farms manufacturing and distribution center in Canton, along Dedham Street and I-95, about 20 miles from Boston. The new three-story venue is set to have 90 hitting bays and Toptracer technology allowing players to track their ball's speed, distance, and height.
"It's with great excitement and pleasure that I welcome Topgolf to our community," Canton Select Board Chair John Connolly said in a statement. "This project will have a significant economic impact to the town of Canton through the creation of jobs and increased tax revenue to support our schools and municipal services, in addition to the environmental and aesthetic benefits of cleaning up a blighted site. It's truly a 'hole-in-one' for Canton."

The new facility will feature a rooftop terrace and an outdoor patio for guests. Food and drinks will be available to players along with live bands for attendees to enjoy.
The future Canton venue will bring about 400 new jobs to the community, a Topgolf spokesperson said in a statement.
