BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Another champion crosses the finish line.
Hellen Obiri has been named winner of the elite women's race in the 128th Boston Marathon once again. She is the first Kenyan women to win the race back-to-back in almost 20 years.
She won with a time of 2:22:37.
The two-time Olympic silver medalist finished in 2:21:38 when she won her first Boston Marathon last year.
Fellow Kenyan, Sharon Lokedi, was eight seconds behind her.
