SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — More than 200 Salem seniors will be getting Easter meals delivered with a side of some company.
Volunteers with Friends of the Salem Council on Aging will be delivering Easter dinner to about 250 home-bound seniors on Sunday.
"They enjoy having individuals come to deliver them because that's pretty much the only person they're going to see probably for that day, maybe for a whole week," Andy LaPointe, Friends of the Salem Council on Aging president, told WBZ's Carl Stevens.

Brothers Taverna restaurant will be cooking and packaging the dinners before volunteers pick them up and head out to deliver them.
LaPointe is thankful for those who have donated to the group and the volunteers that donate their time each year.
"It gives them the opportunity to celebrate the holiday just like everybody else," said LaPointe.
