BRIGHTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — How early is too early for ice cream?

The jingle that lets children and parents know ice cream is around the corner has started to come back for the spring season in Brighton. With temperatures dropping to the 30s on early April nights, some parents think the ice cream trucks are coming out a bit early.

"Well I think this is ridiculous," one Brighton man told WBZ's Jim MacKay.

Some parents said they think the trucks can wait, as there are still several more months of school before the beginning of summer vacation.

"It's probably going to wake up kids in the neighborhood and be hard to put them back to sleep because I hear it so loudly," a Brighton mom said.

With temperatures forecast to go up to 80 degrees next week, some ice cream lovers think it is the perfect time for ice cream truckers to start making their rounds.
