CONCORD, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — A jury has found Logan Clegg, 27, guilty of killing a New Hampshire couple out on a walk last year.

The verdict comes after a day and a half of deliberation. The jury found Clegg, who was living in a tent in the woods of New Hampshire at the time of the killing, guilty of second-degree murder in the deaths of Stephen and Djeswende Reid.

Clegg was also found guilty of falsifying evidence.

On Friday, the jury spent seven hours deliberating without reaching a verdict and gathered again on Monday morning.

The retired couple was walking on a trail near their home in Concord, New Hampshire when Clegg shot them to death in April 2022.

Prosecutors said that when Clegg was questioned by police he gave them a different name. After the killing, he burnt his tent, deleted information from his computer, and bought a bus ticket.

When police found Clegg in South Burlington, Vermont, they said he had a fake passport, a gun, and a one-way ticket to Germany, investigators said.
