BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) — A popular Boston taqueria has been ordered to close its doors again after health inspectors temporarily suspended its permit in May when dozens of customers reported getting salmonella after eating the food.

Last week, health inspectors said Los Amigos Taqueria at 366 Washington Street in Brighton had eight health code violations and suspended the location's permit to operate. The health department conducted the inspection after getting reports that people with confirmed foodborne illnesses had eaten at that location.

Violations included shrimp and fish cross-contamination, food not reading the correct temperature, putting clean pans on drying racks without sanitizing, as well as several other violations connected to contamination concerns.

There was also an inspection on June 9th where no violations were found.

Los Amigos Taqueria's Brighton and West Roxbury locations were temporarily suspended in May and were instructed to fix 19 violations. Shortly after, Jory Lange, of the Lange Law Firm, told WBZ NewsRadio that he was representing 38 people who contracted Salmonella food poisoning after eating at Los Amigos Taqueria. He also mentioned he had been contacted by dozens more.
