BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The MBTA is offering special service this April to help support Massachusetts 250, a tourism initiative celebrating the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution.
The main celebrations are happening on Patriots Day weekend in Arlington, Lexington and Concord. This includes reenactments, parades, historical presentations and other special events.
On April 19, there will be increased Commuter Rail Service on the Fitchburg line, which stops in Concord.
There will also be increased bus service throughout the whole weekend, especially on the Route 77 line that goes to Arlington and the Route 62/76 that goes to Lexington.
"We are excited to welcome residents and visitors from across the world to Massachusetts this Patriots Day weekend … right here in Lexington and Concord," said Governor Maura Healey.
