MENDON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Tis the season to watch a movie on the big screen without leaving your car.
Mendon Twin Drive-In is back for the season, something co-owner Dave Andelman has been waiting all winter for.
"This is opening day for me I mean people get excited about various things, the Red Sox, or the Patriots, or the Bruins playoff game, to me we wait all winter to open up," Andelman told WBZ's Suzanne Sausville.
To kick off the season, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be playing on one screen while Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves plays on the other.
"Barbie is going to be like Top Gun for women, it's going to be a big big big hit," he said. "Raiders of the Lost Ark on a 100-foot screen is going to be the experience of the summer," said Andelman.

Attendees sit in their cars and listen to the movie through their car radio, something Andelman said can cause some problems when guests try to leave.
"God bless the high school kids and college kids that work here and stay until one or two in the morning jumpstarting your cars," he said. "Do me a favor, tip those kids will ya."
Mendon Twin Drive-In does have rentable portable radios for those that are concerned about their battery life or prefer to sit outside their cars to watch the big screen.
The Mendon Twin Drive-in has been open since the summer of 1954.
