METHUEN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are investigating after a man was fatally injured in a Methuen shooting early Sunday morning.
Just after 2 A.M., the Methuen Police Department got reports of shots fired around Haverhill Street in Boston. A few minutes later, police were notified that there was a man suffering from a gunshot wound at Lawrence General Hospital, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, according to Methuen Police Chief Scott McNamara.

Officials said the man was treated at the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released at this time.
Detectives and troopers from the Essex County District Attorney’s Office State Police Detective Unit are investigating the deadly shooting. No other information is known at this time.
