NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The sun is out and so is the snow for New Hampshire's highest peak.
Mount Washington has now seen its snowiest June on record. This weekend's added snowfall broke the previous monthly record of 8.1 inches set in 1959.
Mount Washington Observatory said most years the mountain tends to see its last snowfall of the season in early to mid-June.
"This year was no exception as a quasi-stationary low sat over our region delivering snow nearly every day so far this month," said Mount Washington Observatory.
This year, the mountain has had a total of 8.4 inches of snow.

On Saturday, snow was seen coming down on Mount Washington helping break this month's record snowfall.
"With another low and cold air approaching in the days ahead, we could see that total grow further," MWO said.
