MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — No need for black tie attire to listen to the opera music on one street in Manchester, New Hampshire.

That's because it's playing outside a 7-11, which has made for some unhappy neighbors.

The 7-11 started playing opera music non-stop to prevent kids from loitering outside. Speakers mounted on the outside walls have been blasting the music for over a week.

There have been noise complaints from neighbors who have had enough of the opera. City officials have been working to get the manager to turn down the music.

"I think we're all on the same page so we're trying to come to a happy medium we're hoping," Manchester Ward 10 Alderman Bill Barry told WBZ NewsRadio's Chaiel Schaffel.

A similar tactic has been used by other 7-11's around the country.
