BRIGHTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Looking to bedazzle your smile? There's a place in Brighton doing just that.
Gia Benitez, owner of Gemmed By Gia, is a certified tooth technician and that can bedazzle teeth in about 15 minutes.
"They add gems to enhance how they feel about themself," Benitez told WBZ's James Rojas. "Some people are already in love with their smile and are like I have the most gorgeous smile and I just want to add more sparkle to it, I want everyone to see it."
The semi-permanent gems are bonded onto the teeth and last around three to six months but can last longer with proper care. The gems can be removed anytime by a dentist.

"It was definitely a bigger thing in the 90s and died down a little bit and is making a reappearance," Benitez said.
Clients are able to pick from a variety of designs and colors. Some choose to go with a class crystal while others choose a heart or a star.
Benitez launched her business during the pandemic and opened a storefront last year. Since then the demand for teeth gems has only continued to grow since.
"I love working with the people and I like making people feel better," Benitez said.
