DEDHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One Dedham resident is the man behind the cover art for Yusuf / Cat Stevens first album in a decade.

Yusuf Islam, known by his stage name Cat Stevens, asked illustrator Peter Reynolds, of Dedham, to design his latest album cover.

"It's an incredible honor to work with a legend," Reynolds told WBZ's Kim Tunnicliffe. "This album is really beautiful, it's very healing, [it's] what the world needs right now."

Reynolds first illustrated Yusuf / Cat Stevens' book based on his song "Peace Train." He told WBZ's Tunnicliffe he was so excited when Stevens reached out again to illustrate the new cover.

"This was a very inspirational project for me," he said.

The cover is based off the song "Take the World Apart" on Yusuf / Cat Stevens new album King of a Land. The cover pictures a boy sitting on a mountain playing guitar in a brightly colored town on top of a dull colored world.

"Imagine you were in charge of the world and what if a child was in charge of the world how beautiful it would be because children see the possible," said Reynolds.
