FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One craft brewery in Framingham is getting a high-tech makeover.
Exhibit 'A' Brewing Company is modernizing its craft brewing technique thanks to a recent partnership with Dell Inc.
The tech giant installed sensors and other high-tech equipment that analyzes and studies data at the brewery.
"It allows us to collect data to be better brewers," said Matthew Steinberg, co-founder of Exhibit 'A' Brewing.
Steinberg told WBZ's Suzanne Sausville that collecting data is nearly impossible for a small brewery without the proper resources. Typically only large breweries can afford to have this kind of technology.

"We're going to basically mount cameras over the canning line that study it as it works normally and when something goes wrong a light's going to go on and it's going to shoot that information through the interface and it's going to be like this is what happened," he said.
He said the advanced technology is typically only available at large breweries that can afford it. Having access to it will help to "level the playing field."
"To a brewery that has a $4 million tech budget to a brewery that has basically no tech budget, it allows us to basically collect similar data that these other breweries are collecting," he said.
