SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One Salem museum is looking for someone with a knack for TikTok to join their team as part of a new program.
Peabody Essex Museum is hiring for its first-ever TikTok Creator and Residence Program to get the museum seen from a different perspective.
"There may not be things we're thinking about so they get to sort of go through and the museum becomes a blank canvas for them," said Kurt Steinberg, the museum's chief operating officer.

Steinberg told WBZ's Brooke McCarthy the museum is looking to broaden its audience online and wants to use the power of TikTok to get some new faces into the museum.
"We want to be more engaged in the social media space," Steinberg said. "We are constantly experimenting with those things."
Applications to be a part of the paid summer program are now open for recent college grads or college students.
