Part Of I-93 Shut Down After Car Catches On Fire In O'Neill Tunnel

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A car caught on fire inside the O'Neill Tunnel on Tuesday afternoon, shutting down a part of I-93 southbound.

Around 3:40 p.m., the Massachusetts Department of Transportation announced on X that the left lane has reopened.

A car fire forced I-93 southbound to close at exit 16A around 3:15 p.m. as rush hour picked up speed.
