Police Ask Public For Help To Find Autistic 11-Year-Old Chelsea Boy

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — UPDATE 7:19 P.M.: Susant Thapa has been located. He was found in Cambridge. Police believe he traveled to Cambridge on a bus.

Police are asking for the public's help to find a missing Chelsea boy with autism.

A multi-agency search is underway in Chelsea to find 11-year-old Susant Thapa.

State Police said Susant is autistic and non-verbal. He went missing from his home on Washington Avenue, Chelsea at around 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

"Of special concern: Susant is drawn to pools and may enter yards of properties that have pools. Members of the public in Chelsea and immediate surrounding cities should check their pools and make sure there is no access to them," State Police said.

He is described as having dark hair and was last seen wearing a navy blue shirt with white lettering and blue Adidas pants with a stripe.

Susant was last seen near the T bus stop at Garfield and Sagamore Avenue at 3:40 p.m.
