Revere Residents Headed To The Beach For Unseasonably Warm Weather

REVERE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — New Englanders got a taste of summer on Thursday with an unseasonably warm April day.

Temperatures in the Boston area reached 87 degrees on Thursday. In Revere, some headed to the beach to enjoy the 85 degree weather and high UV index.

"I think it's awesome, it's totally awesome," one motorcyclist told WBZ's Carl Stevens. "I think the weather is here to stay hopefully, it's beautiful I mean I never thought I would be on the bike and I'd be actually sweating and I'm here at Revere beach... totally awesome."

Beachgoers can soak up the sun on Friday with temperatures reaching 80 degrees. The weather will be back in the 50s in Boston this weekend, AccuWeather forecasts.
