Rifle Stolen From Police Cruiser In Malden Has Been Found

MALDEN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio— Massachusetts State Police announced the rifle stolen from a police cruiser in Malden on Thursday has been located.

State Police announced on Sunday there is no evidence the rifle was used in a crime. The weapon was found in the Greater Boston area, police said.

The service rifle was stolen from a locked cruiser parked outside of a Malden condo complex on Thursday night. The rifle was locked in a mount inside the vehicle when it was stolen, police said.

There are no additional details at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
