EASTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A shooting at an apartment complex in Easton on Tuesday left a teenage girl in the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Police responded to the shooting at around 2:30 p.m. at the apartment complex on Robert Drive. The suspects had already fled the scene, according to police.
Police said they found a teenage girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a nearby hospital and then flown via medical helicopter to a hospital in Boston with life-threatening injuries.
There is no ongoing safety threat, according to police. They believe this is an isolated incident and not a random act of violence.
The victim’s condition is unknown, according to CBS News Boston. Easton Police and Massachusetts Police are investigating.
