BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Kayaking on the Charles River is all fun and games until you get hungry...

WBZ's Matt Shearer went to where no Uber Eats driver has been before... and brought a lifejacket.

Shearer grabbed a few pizza pies and set out on his kayak to deliver slices to any hungry boaters he encountered along the river from the Eliot Bridge to the Longfellow Bridge.

"[It tastes] like river pizza," one hungry kayaker said who accepted a slice on the go.

While the pizza delivery boat was a hit, keeping the pizza dry proved to be a challenge.

"I row so I basically inhale river water every day anyway so this part of my diet by this point," said Blake, an MIT student, while accepting a pizza box that went for a swim.
