SHREWSBURY, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) — A mentor for the Shrewsbury High School robotics team was charged with having and transporting child pornography on Monday.
Brian Lingard, 60, was arrested on Monday morning after airport customs employees allegedly discovered images of child sex abuse on his phone.
Police said Lingard was flying from Paris to Boston on October 19 when the images were found during a customs screening. Data extracted from the SD card on Lingard's phone allegedly revealed he had 23 images of minors who appeared to be under the age of 10, said Acting United States Attorney for Massachusetts Joshua Levy's office.

"It is further alleged that the SD card also contained multiple images of fully clothed minor females who appear to be in a school setting. The images appear to have been taken surreptitiously and are focused on the buttocks of the minor females. A review of the metadata associated with these photos allegedly revealed that some were taken at Shrewsbury High School," Joshua Levy's office said in a statement.
At least two of the images were allegedly of minors who had been identified as child sexual abuse victims by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
