Tanglewood Kicks Off 2023 Season Bringing Music To The Berkshires

LENOX, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's that time of year again when the Berkshires are filled with music.

Tanglewood opened its doors on Sunday for the start of its 2023 season. Some big names will be performing over the summer.

The TLI Chamber Concert kicks off the first concert of the season at 3 p.m. on Sunday. On June 23, Steve Miller Band will be performing with special guest Bruce Hornsby and The Noisemakers.

Kicking off July 4th weekend, Elvis Costello and The Imposters with special guests Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets will be taking the stage on July 1. The following day, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will perform with JD McPherson.

James Taylor will also be playing that weekend, but tickets have already sold out.

On August 5, Tanglewood is hosting John Williams’ Film Night. Tony award-winning actress and singer Kelli O'Hara will be performing on August 22. Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops will perform Star Wars: The Story in Music to finish up the season on August 27.
