BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's like a food truck... except it's full to the brim with house plants.
"We call it the roaming green house," Denise Goodman, founder of Boston Cityscapes Plant Care Inc, told WBZ NewsRadio's Chaiel Schaffel.
Cityscapes, a company that does greenery for local offices and hotels, owns the transplanted truck as a charitable side project. Once or twice a week, the crew takes the plant truck out for a spin in Boston. Goodman said they don't do it every day since it takes a lot of time and labor to get it set up and broken down again.
The roof is transparent to act as a green house.
"So we basically cut the roof off of it and put up a tented greenhouse situation," said Goodman.
The way it works is one of Boston Cityscapes' corporate clients chooses a charity. Then, the truck sets up shop in a busy Boston area selling plants all day to raise money for the charity of choice.

"We've raised over $82,000 dollars since the inception in 2019," said Goodman.
The more plants sold the more money goes to the charity.
