PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some Plymouth residents were strolling along the waterfront on Friday afternoon enjoying the calm before the storm.
Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall in Florida as a rare November hurricane on Thursday. The National Weather Service of Boston warned Massachusetts residents on Friday morning they might be feeling the effects as, now Tropical Depression Nicole, heads up north.
NWS Boston notified residents to be careful when driving as a wind advisory will be in effect from 10 P.M. Friday through 11 A.M. Saturday. Strong wind gusts up to 55 mph could cause possible power outages from fallen trees.
Rain and wind gusts are expected to begin Friday afternoon in Southern New England.

One new dad named Harrison enjoyed the warm weather as he took his dogs and baby for a walk along Nelson Beach.
While South Shore, South Coast, Cape Cod, and the Islands are preparing for Nicole, Harrison told WBZ's Jim MacKay he isn't too worried about the storm after experiencing a bad Nor'easter in 2021.
"We lost power for five days, a transformer blew in our street, actually if you go to the edge of the park you can still see the water damage," he said.
National Grid has sent out text alerts to customers south of Boston warning they might feel the impacts of the storm if Tropical Depression Nicole doesn't slow down.
