BOSTON (WBZNewsRadio) — An infant has been reunited with its parents after being in the back of a truck when it was stolen on Friday.

At around 2:55 p.m., police got reports of a kidnapping at Geneva Avenue and Leroy Street in Dorchester. When they arrived, they discovered a truck had been stolen with an infant still inside.

The child's parents told police they were parked at 430 Geneva Avenue when they got out of the truck to tend to their 2-year-old. That's when a man got into the truck and fled towards Bowdoin Street with the infant inside.

Police said moments later, the man returned to where the truck was parked and placed the infant, still in the car seat, on the sidewalk before driving away.
