Tyngsborough "Personal Watercraft" Crash Leaves One Seriously Injured

TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ News Radio) — One person is left with serious injuries after two "personal watercraft" crashed on a Tyngsborough lake on Friday afternoon.

Tynsgborough Police and Fire Departments got reports that two personal watercraft crashed on the Tyngsborough portion of Lake Mascuppic just before 5 p.m. leaving one person seriously injured, said Chief Richard Howe.

Both of the watercraft operators were able to make it to the shore after the crash. One of the operators was transported to a local hospital for treatment while the other didn't need any medical treatment, police said.

The Massachusetts Environmental Police are investigating the incident.

The organization took to Facebook on Saturday to encourage and promote safe and responsible boating for National Safe Boating Week.
