Watertown's School For The Blind Is Back Open After Threatening Phone Call

WATERTOWN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Watertown school has lifted a shelter-in-place after receiving a "threatening phone call" on Tuesday morning.

Watertown Police said the Perkins School for the Blind received the threatening phone call at around 10:45 on Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the school and out of precaution, Perkins initiated a lockdown.

At around 3:40 p.m., Watertown Police announced that the shelter-in-place had been lifted and school activities were back to normal.

Watertown Police are investigating. No additional information is known at this time.
