WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A Worcester man was indicted on a murder charge months after a body was discovered in Paxton, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early's office announced on Thursday.

A Worcester County Grand Jury handed up the indictment on Wednesday, charging Christopher Fuller, 30, with one count of murder in 29-year-old Ernest Appiah's death, according to DA Early's office.

Appiah was found dead in Paxton on March 5. Officials said someone living in the area found his body about 25 feet off the main road in a wooded area and called 911.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Appiah’s death a homicide, as they determined he had been shot in the torso, authorities said.

In July, Fuller was arrested and charged, and has been held without bail since his district court arraignment. Fuller will be arraigned in the new year on January 5.
