2 Suspects Arrested Following Shooting At Lynn Block Party

LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Lynn have arrested two suspects following a shooting at a neighborhood block party in Lynn Saturday night has left one man dead and three others injured.

Rogelleo Morrison, 43, of Lynn, and Luis Falcon, 25, also of Lynn, were taken into custody Sunday night.

The suspects are now facing murder charges. They are expected to be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Monday.

“I greatly appreciate the hard work of the Lynn Police detectives, the State Police detectives assigned to my office and other Mass State Police assets who worked around the clock to find those responsible for this brazen attack,” Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said in a statement.

The shooting happened around 7:20 p.m. across from the Warren Street Playground during the block party and a basketball tournament.

“This game was being played, organized by some kids in the city. And coming together to do a good thing, and unfortunately this incident occurred there,” Lynn Police Lt. Michael Kmiec said.

Police found three victims when they arrived on the scene. Brandon Jesurum, 34, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

An 18-year-old woman, a 20-year-old woman, and a 49-year-old man were also found with gunshot wounds.

The 49-year-old man's dog was shot and killed.
