HAMPTON, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One person has died following a car accident on Interstate 95 in Hampton, N.H. Saturday night.
The incident happened around 10 p.m. when a pickup truck, driven by 48-year-old Trenton Wendell, crashed head-on into a guardrail and a concrete barrier, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Investigation showed that he was entering an open toll road before a "last second lane change" caused him to strike the barrier.
Wendell was found unresponsive and trapped inside the car. First responders were able to free him.
He was then taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
