10-Day Dartmouth Street Pilot Program Beginning Today

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 10-day pilot program in Copley Square will close Dartmouth Street to traffic between the square and the Boston Public Library from Tuesday, June 7 to Friday, June 17.

The program, known as Copley Connect, will create space for food trucks, café seating, performances, and programs from the library.

Mayor Michelle Wu's administration will study the positive and negative impacts of closing the block between Boylston Street and St. James Avenue.

Similar open street events will take place in Jamaica Plain, Roxbury, and Dorchester later in the summer.

WBZ's James Rojas (@JamesRojasNews) reports.
