BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 15-year-old was shot and killed in Brockton Friday afternoon, authorities said.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz said the fatal shooting occurred around 3:23 p.m. at 131 Lynn Road. Brockton police responded after a 911 call and found the teenager, who was transported to South Shore Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was identified as Jason Green. His family have set up a GoFundMe to raise money for his funeral.
Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old with possession of a firearm, the district attorney's office said. His name has not been released.
An investigation is ongoing.
