18-Year-Old Wanted In Deadly Worcester State University Shooting

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are looking for a suspect in connection with Saturday's fatal shooting at Worcester State University that left one person dead and one injured.

According to authorities, Kevin Rodriguez, 18, is wanted on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and armed assault with intent to murder. Rodriguez last lived in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Police said Rodriguez should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police said the shooting happened at around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning on the Worcester State University campus. Officers responding to the scene found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital.

One of the victims, a 19-year-old man, later died of his injuries. The second victim, a 21-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The victims' identities have not been released at this time. Officials said neither the victims nor the assailants were university students.
