2 Pedestrians Injured After Being Struck By Car In Saugus

SAUGUS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are investigating after two pedestrians were hit by a car in Saugus Friday night.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Route 99 near the Colonial Traveler Inn when a man and a woman were struck while they were crossing the street, according to Saugus Police.

The woman was crossing the street with her children, according to Massachusetts State Police. The children were not hit.

The two pedestrians were injured and were taken to hospitals in Boston. The woman sustained life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car involved in the crash stayed on the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation.
