Survey Finds Homicides Down In Boston

BOSTON (24/7 News Source) -- The number of homicides in Boston is going down.

A recent survey by the Major Cities Chiefs Association has found that the 2017 murder rate in Boston is three per 100-thousand people.

That puts the city at 46th on the list, down two spots in 2016.

However, the number of non-fatal shootings have gone up by 120-percent since last year.
