EAST BROOKFIELD (WBZ-AM) -- There were tears at a vigil Sunday evening as friends and family gathered to remember Lisa Germain, the 54-year-old nurse who was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver one month ago.
Germain was walking on Route 9 in East Brookfield when she was hit.
"There's nothing we can do to ever get her back," her daughter Erica told WBZ-TV. "It's been the worst month of my life. I can't imagine the rest of my life. I feel like I'll always feel this sad."
Erica and others are asking for the driver to come forward--and local police are asking anyone with information on the case to contact them.
"Just come forward," Erica said, addressing the yet-unidentified driver. "Lisa wouldn't blame you, because she had a huge heart, and she would forgive you."
Two vehicles, an SUV and a pickup truck, were spotted on surveillance cameras in the area.
