BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Emerson senior Noah Wish loves playing the ukulele, and was practically married to the instrument this past summer.
For his summer project, Wish told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens he traveled to each of Massachusetts' 351 cities and towns with his uke.
"I was recording one note in every town along the way, and then I put it together in a little video," Wish, who is originally from Stow, said.
The song he created features one note played in each city and town.
"It took a while, it was a lot of very tedious editing, but it was fun," Wish said.
His girlfriend Emily handled the recording, and the project can be seen on his YouTube channel, BananaCactus Ukulele.
He started the channel a few years ago as a creative outlet where he posts music videos and ukulele covers--but as for this latest idea, he said he wasn't sure where the inspiration came from.
"I think I was just looking for a reason to get out and see the state," he said.
He said his favorite part of the project was visiting the town of Gosnold.
"Just taking a ferry there and seeing how it was this tiny little community that I had never heard of that was just in their own little world over there, that was one of the coolest experiences for me," he said.
