BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts has launched a review of a proposed merger of several hospital systems that could create one of the state's largest health care networks.

The Health Policy Commission's review announced Tuesday will analyze the deal's effect on costs, quality, and access.

The deal involves Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center hospitals, The Lahey Health system, New England Baptist Hospital, Mount Auburn Hospital, and Anna Jaques Hospital.
