FRAMINGHAM (WBZ-AM) -- One person was injured in an overnight shooting at a Framingham apartment complex.
The gunfire erupted at the Sherwood Park Apartments on Phelps road.
Loretta Jenkins, who has lived in the complex for 16 years, told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Ben Parker she heard the shots.
"I heard it from my window because I keep my window cracked for air," she said. "I heard a 'Pop, pop!'"
Another resident, Melanie, said she saw officers searching for the shooter.
"I just saw the police officers walking around with their huge guns, and just like, I think trying to capture the guy or something, he was still on the loose," she said.
Jenkins said the complex has become more dangerous, with more drug activity--and she said she's getting out.
"When I first moved over here 16 years ago, it was beautiful over here, I loved it here," she said. "But now, I hate it over here. That's why my house is packed, because I'm moving to Chicago. I don't want to live here no more."
