MANCHESTER, NH (WBZ-AM) -- Manchester Police say they've caught a man who stole a purse from a nurse while she treated a patient at a Manchester hospital last weekend.
Hector Lito Rodriguez, 23 of Manchester, was arrested around 7:20 Wednesday night at a Rite Aid, where officers said he was trying to steal several bags of M&M's.
Police had been searching for a man they say stole cash and credit cards from a nurse's purse Sunday at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. They released surveillance photos of that suspect Monday, and tied .
A detective who worked the hospital purse theft case was able to ID Rodriguez as the man in the photos. He was arrested without incident and charged with theft by unauthorized taking.
Police also said Rodriguez initially tried to give them a false name and date of birth.
He is due in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North later Thursday.
