Due to severe weather, promoters of Boston's First Night First Day have been prompted to cancel a few of their signature activities. The 6 p.m. parade and 7 p.m. fireworks on Boston Common have been canceled. Monday performances from the First Day Copley Square Stage have also been called off.
Midnight fireworks are still on.
The promoters of First Night First Day made the announcement on Twitter, saying:
#FirstNightBoston UPDATE: Due to severe weather conditions, the People’s Procession Parade (6PM), Family Fireworks on Boston Common (7PM), & First Day Copley Square Stage performances on Mon have been canceled.
