Randolph Couple Wins Lottery Twice

BRAINTREE, MA  (WBZ-AM) -- A couple from Randolph, MA have cashed in on a $1 million-dollar prize only 4 months after winning another million-dollar prize from a well-known national sweepstakes.

Robert Goodwin and his wife Jane won in the Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Platinum Payout” $5 instant ticket game.  

The Goodwins stopped by the Massachusetts State Lottery Headquarters in Braintree on Monday to claim their additional winnings. 

According to The MA Lottery, They opted to receive the prize in a one-time cash payment of $650,000 before taxes.

The winning ticket was purchased at Fast Lane Convenience, 230 Union St. in Holbrook. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

Back in August Jane won $1 million-dollars through Publishers Clearing House prize. 

The couple indicated that they intend to use their winnings to purchase a home in an over-55 community. Why? 

“No more shoveling,” said Robert.

The Lottery says that the winning ticket was purchased at Fast Lane Convenience, 230 Union St. in Holbrook. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.

Four additional $1 million prizes remain in the Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Platinum Payout” instant game.
