PEABODY, MA (WBZ-AM/24/7 News Source) -- Police are searching for an armed robber in Peabody. A man reportedly entered a 7-Eleven on Main Street early Thursday and demanded money.
He was wearing a ski mask and blue sweatpants as he dashed out of the store with and undisclosed amount cash.
K-9 units were called in to search the area but no suspect was found.
Investigators are comparing notes with other police departments in the area.
Lt Michael Kmiec tells WBZ-TV, a masked robber also hit at least 6 stores in Lynn since Christmas.’
Police believe at least 16 armed robberies including in Chelsea and East Boston may linked to the same suspects.
