MATTAPAN (WBZ-AM) -- A fire tore through the top two floors of a triple-decker overnight, leaving 14 people displaced.
The blaze began at the home on Evelyn Street in Mattapan around 11 p.m. Sunday.
The building is now boarded up, with black soot covering the top two floors, and cleanup crews were on the scene Monday morning.

The Red Cross is helping those 14 displaced people, including four children, to find temporary shelter.
One firefighter suffered a shoulder injury while fighting the blaze, but it is not believed to be serious.
The Boston Fire Department estimated the damage from the fire at around $500,000.
It wasn't yet known what caused the fire.
