Aly Raisman Faces Sexual Abuser In Court

LANCING, MI (WBZ-AM) -- Olympic gymnast and Needham, MA native Aly Raisman testified at the The disgraced former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar sentencing hearing Friday.

Nassar who has already been 60 years in prison for child pornography by a federal judge in Grand Rapids faces a minimum sentence of 25 to 40 years in prison for molesting girls at Michigan State University and his home.

Judge Rosemarie Aquilina has extended the sentencing hearing due to the number of sexual assault victims who still want to speak in court.

More than 100 have already addressed the court, with Olympic gold medalist McKayla Maroney doing so in a letter.

On Thursday, Nassar asked to stop hearing from the survivors of his abuse.  Aquilina told him nothing he was hearing is as harsh as what his victims endured.

In her statement Raisman said that she won't rest until every last trace of  Nasser's influence on the sport "has been destroyed, like the cancer it is,"
