FOXBORO (WBZ-AM) -- A steady stream of Patriots fans were heading to the Gillette Stadium Pro Shop today to buy their gear for Super Bowl 52.
A Pats fan from Mansfield who was there buying AFC Champion hats told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Doug Cope she barely made it through the game.
"What a nail-biter," she said. "I tell ya, I couldn't even watch. Six minutes, I had to leave the room, come back with 1:48, and I still wouldn't high five until I saw Belichick go 'Yay!'"
One fan drove all the way from Nashua, New Hampshire because they were sold out of gear there.
"It's a roller coaster they always take us on," he said. "Just like the Super Bowl last year. I'm getting too old for this, but it's fun."
One woman from Hingham said she needed a t-shirt, because she was headed into Jaguars territory.
"I'm going to Florida this weekend, so I'm going to wear it for all those people down there," she said. "I just wanna let 'em know that we won."
Immediately after the game Sunday, fans were pretty happy.
"It was a very tough game, but we always pull it off in the second half," one fan told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens. "We're a second-half team!"
One fan said he knew the team would come back.
"Actually, I did, because I was looking at the clock," he said. "I saw the way the defense was playing with Jacksonville, they backed off, they gave Brady time to get his rhythm and pick them apart, which he did."
Owner Robert Kraft said he knew how they felt--and said he'd never heard Gillette Stadium so loud.
"This is what I dreamt about as a fan in the stands, just like all of you," Kraft told the crowd after the game. "And now we have to go to Minnesota and finish the job."
