QUINCY (WBZ-AM) -- The driver of a car was killed late Monday night after Massachusetts State Police say they led them on a brief chase.
A state trooper pulled the suspect vehicle over for motor vehicle violations around 9 p.m.
As that trooper was processing the stop, the suspect drove off--and instead of engaging in a high-speed chase, the trooper followed at a distance and later found the suspect car over the sea wall off Quincy Shore Drive near Catty Park.
Police said the suspect hit two other cars before rolling over that wall, leaving the driver of one of those vehicles injured. A female passenger in the suspect's car was injured as well, and the two were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The deceased driver has not yet been identified.
