BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The Bruins beat the Devils last night to extend their point-streak to 17 games. If they pick up another point tomorrow in Ottawa to take them into the All-Star break, that'll even Boston's second-longest stretch in franchise history, accomplished during the 1968-69 season.
B's are 13-0-and-4 during this run and defenseman Torey Krug isn't surprised other teams bring their best effort every night.
"It comes with the territory," he said. "You want to be the best team in this league, you want to work your way into that top echelon of teams, people are going to get up to play against you. And that's what you want--you want the best competition every single night, because that's going to prepare you for the future."
Tuukka Rask is 15-0-and-2 his last 18 appearances. He's 18-8-and-4 with a 2-16 goals-against-average and .923 save percentage.
