BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Injured Celtics star Gordon Hayward joined his teammates in Los Angeles for Tuesday night's 108-107 loss to the Lakers--and he'll be in the audience again for tonight's clash with the Clippers.

From there, the team will head to Golden State, but Hayward will stay in Southern California for another week or so with a couple of staff members to continue rehabbing from his gruesome Opening Night injury.

He lives in San Diego in the off-season, so he'll enjoy a little time at home, but it'll be nice to see him traveling with the Celts in another month-and-a-half or so.

As for whether Hayward will be able to play this season, C's president of basketball operations Danny Ainge told the Boston Herald that's still not in the plans, but he's right on schedule--so the door's not closed.

"He's got a long way to go, but he's a really good spot shooter," coach Brad Stevens said.

Stevens wasn't kidding--Hayward was seen earlier this week drilling flat-footed 3-pointers.
